คณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ จัดโครงการพัฒนาศักยภาพนักศึกษา เพื่อเสริมสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง “ภาษา” และ “อำนาจ” ตลอดจนบทบาทของวาทกรรมในการกำหนดความหมาย ความคิด และโครงสร้างทางสังคมในบริบทต่าง ๆ
พิธีเปิดได้รับเกียรติจาก ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ธาตรี คำแหง คณบดีคณะมนุษยศาสตร์และสังคมศาสตร์ มอบหมายให้ ดร.จิตราพร ชูทอง รองคณบดีฝ่ายวิชาการ เป็นประธานในพิธีเปิด
การบรรยายได้รับเกียรติจาก
ผู้ช่วยศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สุนทรี โชติดิลก อาจารย์ภาควิชาภาษาไทย คณะอักษรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร
โดยมีเนื้อหาการบรรยาย ดังนี้

“ภาษาในฐานะเครื่องมือของอำนาจและการครอบงำทางสังคม และวาทกรรมกับการสร้างความหมายทางสังคม”
มุ่งวิเคราะห์บทบาทของภาษาในฐานะกลไกที่เชื่อมโยงกับโครงสร้างอำนาจ การสร้างความจริงทางสังคม และกระบวนการกำหนดความหมายผ่านวาทกรรมในบริบทต่าง ๆ

🔹 หัวข้อที่ 2
“การใช้ภาษาในการกำหนดกรอบความคิด ความเชื่อ และอัตลักษณ์ และวาทกรรมทางการเมือง การศึกษา และสื่อมวลชน”
เน้นการทำความเข้าใจว่าภาษาส่งผลต่อการกำหนดกรอบความคิด (framing) การสร้างอัตลักษณ์ และการผลิตซ้ำอำนาจผ่านพื้นที่ทางการเมือง การศึกษา และสื่อสาธารณะอย่างไร
ช่วงท้ายของโครงการมีการสรุปองค์ความรู้ ตอบข้อซักถาม และปิดโครงการ เพื่อเปิดพื้นที่แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นและต่อยอดการเรียนรู้เชิงวิพากษ์ของนักศึกษา
โครงการดังกล่าวสะท้อนบทบาทของศาสตร์ทางมนุษยศาสตร์ในการพัฒนาทักษะการคิดวิเคราะห์เชิงลึก และสร้างความตระหนักรู้ต่อพลังของภาษาในสังคมร่วมสมัย

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences organized a Student Development Project to enhance students’ understanding of the relationship between language and power, as well as the role of discourse in shaping meaning, thought, and social structures across various contexts.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Dr. Chittraporn Chutong, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, on behalf of Assistant Professor Thatri Khamhaeng, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The seminar featured a distinguished lecture by Assistant Professor Dr. Suntaree Chotidilok from the Department of Thai, Faculty of Arts, Silpakorn University.
The lecture covered the following key topics:
Session 1:
“Language as a Tool of Power and Social Domination, and Discourse in the Construction of Social
Meaning”
This session explored how language functions as a mechanism linked to power structures, the
construction of social reality, and the processes through which meaning is produced via discourse in
different contexts.
Lunch Break
Session 2:
“Language in Framing Thought, Beliefs, and Identity, and Discourse in Politics, Education, and Mass
Media”
This session focused on how language influences framing, identity formation, and the reproduction of
power across political, educational, and public media spaces.
The program concluded with a knowledge summary, Q&A session, and closing ceremony, providing a
platform for discussion and fostering students’ critical thinking development.

This project highlights the vital role of the humanities in cultivating analytical thinking skills and raising awareness of the power of language in contemporary society.
